The Dublin Simon Community is very close to our hearts at POWERCUT. Over the last year, together we've supported those who are homeless and at risk of homelessness. So far POWERCUT and our customers have donated +€40k in product to help with Dublin Simon Community's Health & Wellness and Outreach programmes.
LONGEST DAY
This June 21st is Ireland’s Summer Solstice – the longest day of the year.
It’s a day where many of us make the most of the welcome stretch in the evenings. But for someone who is experiencing homelessness, every day can feel like the Longest Day. When you have nowhere to call home and no community to call on, you feel vulnerable and isolated. The longer the day, the longer the challenge of homelessness can be.
So at POWERCUT, we want to raise vital funds and get some essential items out to the people who need it most.
GIVE-A-SOCK
Socks are the most needed but least frequently donated item to homeless charities. But we can all do something about this.
From 17th June to 21st June, for every pair of POWERCUT Organic Cotton Training Crew Socks purchased, a pair will be donated to the Dublin Simon Community.
FUNDRAISING
To mark The Longest Day, Monday June 21st, POWERCUT will donate a 10% of every sale to Dublin Simon Community.
Collectively our community can make an impact to help another community that needs our support.
